Trip to OH, Shaun Graduates Case Western!
We are so proud of Shaun graduating from Case! It was very exciting, we were so glad we were able to make it! I wish the commencement was on Saturday so we could have stayed for the party but it worked out. Shaun also recieved an award (and cash) for most untraditional and distinguished student! Good luck on continuing your education.Easter Sunday

We had family pictures taken at Quiet Waters Park. I will post them after we hook up our scanner. This is a cute pic of Maddie! I love the sun behind her. It was really cold still! She wasn't very cooperative but we were able to get some good ones! It was pretty and sunny, we went out to brunch afterward at the Main Ingredient. It was really fun.It was to make Maddie's Easter basket this year. Mostly it had little toys in it. Chicks, hopping bunnies, some jelly beans and a chocolate bunny. We went to church as a family. Maddie was up late the night before with her cousins so she was tired! In the afternoon we went to Mom's for the cousins Easter egg hunt. The kids had fun, their were a lot of eggs to find! It was really warm out and mom made a delicious dinner.

It's Potty Time!
Madelyn is potty trained! I am still in shock that it happened so fast! We tried the potty 6 months ago and it didn't happen at all so I decided to wait until the beginning of summer. But Madelyn had other plans, as always! Maddie decided to sit on the potty Sunday night before bath and tried really hard to pee. She squeezed really hard and a tiny poop plopped into the toilet! It was funny and I was very excited! She was so proud of herself and waved "bye bye" to her poopie! She sat on it again before bed and pee-d! Potty training here we go!
We went out and grabbed some pull ups for when I was at work and gave it a whirl.
She did AMAZING! I would put her on the potty when I thought she would have to go and she would pee! A couple days later she started telling me when she had to go. She had 2 poo poo accidents. I knew when to expect her poo poo and put her on the potty and she went! Her prize was a beautiful princess doll! She was so happy. The next day she made a little worried fast and I knew she had to go and asked her and she said yes, and pooped in the potty! She hasn't had any accidents in 2 days! She stayed dry in long car rides, at her cousins play, and on many outings! She was ready!
She isn't too big on candy so her prizes were princesses! She got one princess for every pee and a big plush doll for her first poo! She got a hershey kiss for sitting on the potty for me in the beginning and stickers.
Oh and she only sat on the big potty. She wouldn't even let me keep the cushion on the potty! She wanted to pee on the potty like her big cousins and I do!
" I DOOD IT!" Is what she says all day long for everything! She wants to be a big girl!
We are so proud of our big girl!!

Christmas
We saw this train at the mall early December and Madelyn talked about it every day the rest of the week! She loved seeing Santa and this train! We had so much fun going to the mall with Maddie this year. We went to see Kidsinger Jim and before he sang Christmas songs, Santa did storytime. Maddie was facinated with Santa! She talked about him all the time and looked for him whenever we were at a store. She didn't want to sit on his lap though!
Maddie made her first gingerbread house! She was very cute, and liked playing with the candy

Our Christmas Eve Party. We got the cousins little christmas trees and small ornaments to decorate them. They had a good time!

Maddie got a Dr's kit from Aunt Janet. I wanted to get her one because she was playing with my book light as a stethoscope! She also is horrible at her check ups so I want to make light of them. She is a cutey when she checks my ears, eyes, and mouth!
Christmas morning! Maddie's 1st present opened and she started playing right away! I knew she would love a dollhouse and it was definately her favorite gift!
